We provide specialized Neurologic Music Therapy® services to adults of all ages with neurologic deficits, disorders, and diseases in individual and group capacities. Services are individualized and tailored to specific populations and needs.

Interventions
We implement the standardized NMT® clinical techniques to provide individualized musical interventions in order to address needs. Some examples of specific interventions that might be used during a session are listed below:
Cognition- Song composition to improve executive functioning
- Playing familiar music with multimodal cues to increase level of alertness
- Rhythmic sequence recall to work on memory
Communication/Pulmonary Function
- Playing harmonica to promote pulmonary hygiene and improve lung function
- Completing lyrics to increase automatic speech output
- Practicing vocal exercises to improve vocal quality, inflection, and prosody of speech
Motor
- Playing percussion instruments to improve trunk stability
- Using metronome and guitar to provide auditory cues during gait training co-treatment
- Playing shakers, maracas, and drums with mallets to improve grip strength
Behavioral Health
- Lyric analysis to discuss unhealthy and healthy behaviors and coping skills
- Playing percussion instruments to improve/regulate mood
- Song composition or lyric rewrite to encourage self-expression and self-efficacy
Quality of Life
- Playing a musical game (e.g., musical bingo) to improve mood
- Group singing to encourage socialization
- Playing percussion instruments during motor exercises to promote mobilization

Telehealth Sessions
- One-on-one sessions provided via HIPAA compliant Telehealth software
- Sessions lengths:
- Initial Assessment – 45 min
- Ongoing Treatment – 30 min
- Ongoing Treatment – 45 min
- Ongoing Treatment – 60 min
- You decide the number of sessions per week!
Individual, NMT only
- One-on-one sessions w/ NMT working on individualized, functional goals
- One-on-one sessions w/ NMT & other therapy (PT, OT, SLP) working on combined individualized, functional goals
